JESUS' ENCOUNTER WITH MATTHEW
Praise God for blessings on our UBF student Fall Retreat Sept 27-29 in Streator, Illinois. About 150 students and campus ministers came together for this event. Our speakers were Pastor David Worcester, who has been doing campus ministry for about 20 years, and UBF intern Victor Rakotondranoro, who gave the Sunday sermon. Three students were baptized on the last day: Amanda Sullivan from Indianapolis UBF, Grace Fitch from Central IL UBF, and Timothy Lee, also from Central IL UBF. We thank God that students could deeply encounter Jesus through this retreat and learn about living for God's glory(1 Cor 10:31) and investing the best(Luke 10:38-42) during their college years. Also, there was a World Mission night in which several young people decided to go out for missions & use their summer vacation to fulfill the Great Commission(Mt 28:19-20). Ultimately, each retreat we run should be designed to encourage students to obey Jesus' World Mission Command. Please pray as the next step that many who attended can join me as we go to Sri Lanka next summer. Thank you, and God bless.
