(GUATEMALA) The Korean Language Department of the National University of San Carlos Celebrated the 23rd Korean Culture Day on September 21, 2024

Ambassador Kim Deuk-hwan and the university's vice-rector attended, and around 200 attendees filled the auditorium of the language training center. Korean language students sang the national anthem of Korea and enjoyed various K-culture activities, including a speech contest, Nanta dance, and K-pop dance. The Korean Food Festival was so successful that the coupons were returned due to a food shortage.

Most importantly, the Korean language skills of the students are increasing, and employment in Korean institutions and companies is rising, which plays a role in the cultural and economic exchange between the two countries. Next year, we hope that the Korean Language Department can expand even further and become a place for cultural exchange between the two countries, along with the remodeling of the Korea Corner.
