  1. Read 28:1-8. What was David’s charge to all the LORD’s people? (1-8) Why is it so critical to obey the LORD’s commandments? Think about David’s view on the physical temple (2; Acts 7:49).
  2. Read 28:9-21. What was David’s charge to Solomon? (9-10,20,21) What’s more important to Solomon than building the physical temple? Describe the blueprint of the temple (11-19).
  3. Read 29: 1-9. What did David and his people offer to the LORD for the temple? (1-8) With what attitude did they offer? (9)? Think about David’s view on offerings (14-16).
  4. Read 29:10-25. How did they worship the LORD? (20-22a) What does this teach us about our worship service? How did the LORD bless Solomon’s kingship? (22b-25)
  5. Read 29:26-30. How did David’s life end? (26-30) What do you learn from David? What does this passage mean to you?
