1. Read 6:1-11. What did Solomon say to the LORD (1-2), and to all the assembly of Israel (3-11)? Who was the LORD whom Solomon blessed (4,10,15)? What were the words the LORD fulfilled (5-6,8-9)? What were the words the LORD gave you?

2. Read 6:12-21. What do we learn from Solomon’s attitude before the altar of the LORD (12-13)? To whom does the LORD keep a covenant (14)? What was Solomon’s first prayer topic (16-17), and the second prayer topic (20-21,40)?

3. Read 6:22-42. In what cases should people come to the LORD and pray (22-39)? What can we learn about repentance (24,26,29,33,37-38)? Overall, what was the house of the Lord for (Isaiah 56:7)?

4. Read 7:1-11. How did the LORD respond to Solomon's prayer (1-2)? What did it mean to the people of Israel (3)? How did Solomon and the people dedicate the house of God (4-11)?

5. Read 7:12-22. What was the LORD's answer to Solomon's prayer (12-18), and warning (19-22)? After all, what does God want from the people called by his name?
