  1. Read 5:1-13. How much was Jerusalem corrupt? (1-5,7,11-13) How would the Lord deal with them? (6-17) What mercy would the Lord show them even in such a fiery judgment? (10,18-19) Think about the purpose of the Lord’s judgment.
  2. Read 5:20-31. In what aspects were the people foolish and senseless? (20-28) What was their most serious problem? (22a, 24a; Ecc 12:13; Lk 12:4,5) What would happen to such foolish and senseless people? (29-31)
  3. Read 6:1-12. What warnings did the Lord give to the people in Jerusalem? (1-9) What was their response? (10) How would the Lord deal with them? (11-12)
  4. Read 6:13-30. What were the problems of the spiritual leaders? (13-15) What were the Lord’s instructions and their responses? (16-17) How would the Lord deal with them? (18-26) Why is the Lord’s punishment inevitable to them? (27-30)
  5. In what aspects is this passage relevant to us and to this generation? What is your decision before the Lord?
